Pixie Studios Theatre School isn’t just a business; it’s my heart and soul brought to life. Reflecting on my personal and professional journey, I can see how every step has led me to create a space where children can explore their creativity, grow in confidence, and discover their own unique spotlight.
A Passion for Performing Arts
My journey started with a deep passion for performing arts. With a degree in Theatre Dance and over 20 years of experience in the industry and teaching, I’ve always been drawn to inspiring young people and nurturing their talents. Founding Pixie Studios gave me the opportunity to combine my love for the arts with my dedication to helping children thrive, not just as performers but as individuals.
Building a Community of Creativity
As a business, we’ve come so far. From our Tiny Pixie Music & Dance sessions for toddlers to our Musical Theatre classes for children and young people, we’ve created a community where everyone feels welcome and valued. Watching our students shine on stage—whether it’s at a school performance, a local event, or our annual shows—is the most rewarding part of what I do.
I’ve been incredibly proud to see some of my students go on to perform in the West End, a testament to their talent and hard work. But a standout moment of my teaching career was seeing a shy student blossom into a confident performer during their first solo. An unforgettable reminder of why I started my own school.
Exciting Plans for the Future
Looking ahead, I’m excited about the future of Pixie Studios. One of my big goals is to expand our Performing Arts Lunch Clubs. I’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact these clubs have on children’s confidence and teamwork. I’d love to share these benefits with more schools and communities. It’s about broadening access to the arts and giving even more children the chance to discover their potential.
Another exciting plan for the future is to launch Musical Theatre classes on Saturday mornings, starting in September 2025. This will open up opportunities for children who can’t attend during the week to experience the joy of learning to sing, dance, and act. I’m eager to see how this addition helps us grow as a school and connects us with even more families in the community.
To me, Pixie Studios is more than just a theatre school; it’s a place where dreams begin, friendships are formed, and confidence takes flight. I’m so grateful to everyone who’s been part of this journey so far—from the students and their families to our incredible team. Together, we’re building something truly special, and I can’t wait to see where the next chapter takes us.
